did any one of you tried the both above mentioned lens's
if yes which one do you think match my new camera d300 nikon

personally I'd go with the 24-70. in-fact I've been seriously considering it along with a 70-200 to replace the 80-200 and 24-85 that i have now.
i had a 18-55 for a short time a few years ago and it just seemed a little short for me.

Yousif, that depends on what you need. If you want a wide lens, the 17-55 is great, and it doesn't have the wacky distortions some of the other wide lenses have.

you must have 24 to 70 its great lens very sharp, fast focus and wilde angle with 2.8
it more expensive than 70 to 200

look at the sigma professional series as well. there close to nikon but cheaper.
