Well first off great site. Been looking around for a while on here and made the move to a boat. I found a 1975 Baja V1500 for trade on my old Chrysler. Transom seems to be ok gonna pull the hat off of her and have a good look. The metal flake is shot gonna repaint has a 1350 merc on it now I think thats a bit much rated for a 110 so i will find a smaller power plant. If anyone has any info on these boats would you please send me mail to woolf8372@msn.com . Thanks Rob.
Hey Rob, welcome to scream and fly. Congrats on the new boat, sounds like a nice ride.

welcome aboard :iagree:keep the 135. I see your from Iowa seems like a boat is the only transportation up there these day's
Welcome to the site. First of all.....we never talk about putting "smaller" motors on our boats. Just don't seem right. Only kiddin man. Since your in Iowa you are close enough for our Illinois river run. Lots of fun and a chance to meet a few of the folks on the board.

Av6 on my boat umm maybe not.Well wait is that were the scream and fly saying comes in to play. How do you get around boat patrol when they pull you over and check the the plate in the boat to see how much power your supposed to have.
In many states that is nothing more than a recommendation, not the law. In others it's the other way around. Check your local authority. For the most part we don't tend to get checked unless we give them a reason. Be reasonable.
