I am contemplating converting my 260s' from analog to digital fuel injection. My question is when going digital the throttle position module is no longer needed. What alterations to my stock wiring must be made to utilize the tps in the digital box. Is it as simple as plugging in the three pin connector? If I am not mistaken I read somewhere that some wiring needed to be rerouted. Thanks for any help.:nonod:

I'd suggest installing a plug Mercury Part Number 848405 where the old externial TPI 3 pin plug tied into your EFI harness.. Also you will need to change out the air barb elbow that feeds the ECU with vacume signal that part number is 22-822715. Change out the spark plugs to a resister plug I suggest NGK BR8HS gapped at.030" and call it good...( all other parts to the new digital ECU is internal..)
BTW : IF your new ECU requires high pressure 56 lb system you will need to change from the gold regulator 39 psi ( 94820 ) to the black one 56 psi (12026-2 ) if high pressure is needed because of very high RPM service you will also need to change to the higher cap. fuel pump ( 848045A8 ) if your ECU is the low pressure disregard this information..
Good luck,
Jay

you can also splice 2 wires together instead of spending 30$ for the tps plug-i'll look and tell you the 2 wire colors-the third isn't used- and if you have an old carb motor(or efi) handy the vacuum fitting you need is the same ones used on the block for the bleed fittings-why make mercury rich???

you need to remove the enrichen circuit wires off the solenoid as well. they connect to another plastic block just like the hot horn does.
