I just purchased a omc 3 holer 56 cu complete block. How can i identify what year and what horsepower it is. I know its atleast 1990 or above, just wanting to know the spacific year? Can anyone help me?

We already know the bore, what isn't known is the HP

If it's a 56 cu in bridged exhaust (86-92), then I believe all the blocks were the same, with the exception of 86 and 87 being permanent cast and 88-92 being lost foam cast. The horsepower rating was determined by cylinder head and carbs. If it's oval port exhaust (93<) I think the same is true.
