how can i make my 01 optimax loud? i just recenly put a 175 ecu on my motor and my boat scoots(71.35 mph 17' lake and bay) and now i want it loud.

Record a loud Mercury and pipe it through headphones REALLY LOUD while you're driving the boat.

You can also make really loud motorboat noises while you're driving, it will sound like you have an offshore exhaust snout if you do it right.

It won't make it any faster. All you're going to do is piss people off.

Iv never been bothered by loud exhaust,any time I been awake at a campground at 6 am and can here a great sounding v6 for 5-6 minnets racing across the lake ,,,it just makes me want my motor to sound like that,,,,DO IT!!!!!

Just about every inbord boat on our lake has the exaust coming threw the transom even the the 40ft house boats.these guys run up and down the lake WFO top speed of 45mph just making noise but as soon as i put the off shore mid on the second time out someone has to say something But I do love the sound of the off shore mid Hell if God didnt want us to have loud outbords he wouldnt have gave us the ability to invent the off shore mid:D

T-Rex has a post on here with pics and step by step on how to drill out a Merc exhaust. Run a search you will find it great post and it sounds nice when it done. Lot's of info on that subject just run a search. Oh by the way sometimes my friends and myself call this Site Scream and Cry so don't let them get to you. That was funny about the leisure suit, LOL
