my buddy has a 200 efi he had a cut about a half inch long on the port stern side of the exhaust houseing. he thought he was gunna be a master mechanic and drill through the housing, while doing so he went through the inner exhaust houseing. he was wondering if this hurts his motor or if he should drill a hole the same size on the other side. please help!

As long as he didn't strike water it'll be fine. Only thing is, drilling in housings can make em weaker. The fact that he went through the liner doesn't hurt anything and if he hadn't he wouldn't be able to tell any difference............... noise or otherwise.
