I resently purchased a 2000 procraft. It has a pro xb 250 limited edition outboard. I'm having trouble finding info on the motor. What does the limited edition mean? Does anyone know where I can find a spec sheet on the motor?

this is a total guess but i would think the special edition is stickers only.the xb is already a very hot version of the 3.0 block series. they probably would push the 260-270 hp envelope.

Thanks Mike
The lower unit is silver and I wondered if it had something to do with the gear ratio

that i don't know. a lot of people polish out the lowers. if you post a picture i'm sure someone could id it as a torquemaster or sportmaster. nice motor if in good condition anyway.if you list the prop size also that could give a clue to the gear ratio. with a good set-up you should have a real nice performer.

I've only had the boat a few days and at work now but I'll post some pics later. The boat and motor look like new. I couldn't believe it was a 2000. The prop is a 28 trophy II.

XB was only built for a very, very short time. Probably why its hard ta find any info on it. It was replaced by tha XS. More horsepower and better fuel consumption. Gearcase is probably a sporty (pointy, low water pickup) or torquemaster. Think they had 1.62 gears...........T
