I finually got the 10 hours on he fresh rebuild monday,:thumbsup: I'v been dooing the get it to opperating temp then a overnight cool down thing 5-6 times,,then the varing 700-1500rpms on the boat ramp idea, then I kept it under 3500 between 2-7 hours after 7 hours I would give it VERY short bursts to 4500-5000,,once it hit the 10 hour mark I held my breath and opened him up, went to about 5600 and backed off from there, affraid of leaning out,,,74d mains..all of this at 25-1 pre-mix xd 25 ...and at 10* timing..
once I got home I notised the butterflies were only opening up to the
"11 o'clock" position instead of all the way "12 oclock"
what kind of improvement should I see by 12-14* adv , new plugs and 40-1 syn blend oil and the butterflies all the way open?
what is your opinion on the 74d mains on a stock 86 200 gt looper w/,lu exhaust relf holes , am I safe?:confused:
