merc 200 question

I have twin 200 merc carb fishing motors, port motor is lagging by 500 rpms only getting 5300 hundred at full throttle motor is running fine, did I just lose an adjustment somewhere, did compression test before I put in water 125 across the board any help would be appreciated.
