Merc 16 amp stator question

I believe my motor has the 16 amp stator (1978 2.0L). Will this thing keep my battery charged? I'm running power tilt and a power jack plate.

I also have a blown 2.0 from the mid 80's. Would this have a higher rate charging system. If so, is it compatible and what all has to be switched?

If you'd take a picture of the flywheel of the 2.0, and also the voltage regulator(s), we could tell you what it takes.

there was an older charging system on some of 2.0L i "think" it was a 9 amp... like j said pics.... you would be fine with a 16 amp..... it can be used on a 2.0L if you want to change the intire system ... much better system...
