Impellor blades

Changed the impellor on my 1986 Nissan 70 hp. Noticed a couple of blades missing on the old one. :eek: Where would these most likely end up and is there any way to get 'em out? It has a good water stream and no overheat problems.

evey revolution it makes takes a little more off it.could take the thermostats out n run it on the hose,it gets spent out the exhaust.

Or it can do this to you..... I lost two pistons in the same hole until I found a piece of impeller and silicone in the water passages.....hotspots are not good:
