Memorial Day Weekend, Partying on Beer Can Island

I'm going to be at Beer Can Island on Longboat Key Saturday and Sunday. I'll take the Hydrostream on Saturday and the Scarab loaded down with blenders and booze. The girls will be plenty, always are there.

Depending on how hard the wind is blowing, we'll be there Saturday. We'll have the 24' Pantera, a 24' Skater and I think a 29' Lightning CC.

There are several called "Beer Can Island" The one you are talking about is rite out from where I work. There is the one at Long Boat and another one in the inner costal in Clearwater. All of them are great hang-outs!:thumbsup: :cheers:

The one I'll be at is under the Longboat pass Bridge. Driving South on Gulf Road Anna Marie Island as you cross the bridge into Longboat key , look down to your right and you can't miss it. Just before you get on the bridge there are a couple of boat ramps that are real nice except for lack of parking.

You Alligator boys never travel more than an hour from the house so you are in no danger of showing up at the Suwannee or this deal unless you ride with Ziemer ! Alligator ...it's a different kind of place !!!!:eek:

Well, I'm driving down seperate, but I am riding with Ziemer for the weekend...My rig and salt water don't mix....

And I know, I already got my a** chewed out for not going to the Suwannee....Not going to mention her name, but let's say I didn't need a phone to hear her from GA....:eek::D

And come on Tom....You know how much I travel...No worry about me being landlocked on Gator...:D:D

What day are most of you coming or is it both ? I want to be able to entertain you with some frozen drinks,hot dogs , and chit. If any body needs a ride, I'm probably flying solo both days. I'd prbably need help if I bring the Scarab.My friend is bringing his pontoon boat on Sunday and he's bringing a grill. I might have to do the same.

Hell, I knew we were on the wrong side of the bridge Saturday...lol...we were on the other side of the bridge, up against the island.

We ran down there Saturday....it was a nice ride from St Pete. We never went under the bridge, we followed the channel around and anchored on that shallow shoal....had the Pantera and 3 24 Skaters there...

Hey Ben, Some things never change, huh,,? How are you doing? Did you get your boat in the water and are you racing. For the people who don't Know, Ben and I used to race together with DVBRC . The first time we met I beat him by a nose and ever since then he spanked me . About ten times in a row. I even popped a motor against him in Harrisburg PA. Ben is an awesome racer so beware if he's lined up against you. For me , I just concentrated on entertaining the chicks. Nothing has changed . Sorry I didn't hook up with you guys on the sanbar. We should get together soon. I'm usually under the southside or inside on any given weekend.
