I am sorry fellas, this is killing me. So.... I will ask.
How was it that someone discovered the fact that stuffing the wrist pins worked. I am sure that someone had to "STUFF" them with somthing long before the idea of building a stuffed pin. What did they "STUFF" them with? I am thinking red high temp rtv?
Yes a STUPID question, but I had to ask. Don't beat me up. I would really like to know how this came about.

i believe that originally mercury used stuffed wrist pins in some of the early motors.. i have a bridgeport that had stuffed pins.. and filling your wristpins with hi temp rtv is crazy talk.. buy a set of lightened/stuffed wristpins from jay or john marles they are only like 100 bucks..

My problem is not money, or spending it. I don't have a ton, but I do have enough to purchase "STUFFED PINS" Please tell me where to buy them for a 3 cyl 90 Yamaha. :D Now that is the problem.
Fair is Fair, if yall get them for them big Mercs, We should get them for a Lil Yammi

In the old dazz of omc prs and v45s we used to go to movies, they were cheeper then....$.45 ....and we had some leftover popcorn and thought how about putting this in the piston pins for better gas charging. The rest is the future and Al Gore is saving the world.;) We now use corn to get less power, I think we should pop it first.:p

OK OK OK enough fun, stupid as it is, is there a LIGITIMATE answer? I was told today to shorten the wrist pin and put a small machined plate on that end of the pin that needs it. I know that this little mod may not be big to some folks, but I am going in with every mod I can up front. I have a goal, and have no restraints. I want to scare the hell out of a few locals with this 90, including myself.
Oh, I am not good with %math, jb weld,or market drug drealers:D

Jason, the theory is that that the wrist pin contains a small amount of crankcase volume. Any 2 stroke tuner will tell you that a reduction in c/c volume will result in more power, but the "plug" or whatever is used to reduce that volume has to live in the engine without deteriorating or ending up floating around and catching between a piston and port for example. Do a search on the subject, REAL engine experts have debated on this - I am by no means an expert but I believe that is the theory.

Best mod under chromed sleeves is middle of piston cylinder machine center piston grove to inline piston center fire.
