My bobs nose cone lost some of the bondo this weekend. Does anybody have a suggestion of what i can do that will last a little bit better than the bondo, putty stuff? :bs:

I've been searching and looking at what others have used. It looks like Marine Tex and some PC-7 epoxy. The bondo thats on it looks almost a 1/4" thick. :nonod:

mine did the same thing. 1-grind out the filler, 2-sand blast the area, 3- clean with a good solent, 4- repeat #3, 5- repeat #3 6 use a good epoxy filler. you can use a stranded type bondo filler in a pinch but its not the same as a good epoxy job.

I got a bobs lower. How long before I should worry about this?

use some clear packing take over the marine tex to hold it in place while the epoxy cures over nite.

use only acetone or lacker [sp] thinner all othe solvents leave a film that will hinder bonding strength.
