will thin ring pistons be ok in my offshore fishing boat? 1994 20' hydra-sports vector. motor 1999 200 efi block has been port matched has 1hr on rebuild. a friend told me i could'nt idle for long with these pistons because ith motor will over heat. motor should see very little to no time over 6k.

I would yes they are fine. I cant see how they would make it overheat. They will ware out faster.

The thinn ring pistons hold up better. The thick ring pistons seem to fall apart easyer. Just what I have seen in fissin motors.
How many mm are the rings. Are we talking about non keystone racing rings or 1.5mm fishing rings.

1.5mm pistons and rings from a 225 hp promax. i have removed all the casting lines from the block and opened the exaust at the base of the block and put in the new 4 peddel rubber coated reed cages trying to get 225 hp out of it. do you guy think i'll get that out of it?

Those are the best pistons you can run. They do not cause overheating.
