Know anyone that has a spare A23 ECU? Might want to try that. What is the water temp when it shuts down?

take it out, lean on it with a person at the primer bulb, just before it quits(if there is a pattern) have them star pumping the bulb. if it is soft for a bunch of pumps, the mecanical pump is most likly bad ,and you are draining the canister dry. check the vent on the fuel tank, you can try some runs with the gas cap loose also for extra venting.

Thanks for the info was able to talk with the previous owner and I find out that he had a electric fuel pump in is boat my boat do not have one and will get one on tusday he said the pump on this motor do not supply enough fuel too the engine. The pump on this motor was rebuild a year ago! Any body else run the same set up for a promax.

May be overcharging.Put a volt meter to varify.Anything over apx 16.8 volts and the ecu will go into self protect and shut down. When you go to crank it again ,you then have dropped the voltage enough to restart. If so replace both regulators. hf...

You shouldn't need an extra pump in the boat with your motor unless there's something wierd about the tank configuration in the boat. Once the fuel system is primed, it should pull fuel just fine on its own.

Fuel rail pressure should be 39 psi.

Thanks for the reply Pyro I only have 5 feet of hose 1 clear glass filter with the biggest fitting I could put and prime bulb everithing is brand new??? but maybe the pump is weak. First time with a promax I know fuel mileage is out the window:p :p :p but I will maybe open the tank and see if there is any obstruction but my 200 run fine last year. Thanks

Get rid of the glass filter. You shouldn't need any kind of external pump for your Pro Max. The only filter you need is the water separating filter on the motor.

Glad you got it fixed! I think my boat with the lil Pro Max on it both surprised some people and hurt other's feelings at my last tournament.:D;)
