2.4L max HP

Is it possible to make 240-250 hp out of a 2.4L? And if so how reliable would it be? This is for a bass boat. Oh yeah would it be cost effective?

Yes you can get good horsepower from a 2.4 and still be fairly reliable. Unless your bass boat is light you're better off with a 2.5. Getting good horsepower out of a 2.4 will likely limit bottom end grunt and could get a bit expensive.

Of coarse you can start with a 2.4 EFI racing motor (240hp@7000)

I swapped my old 2.4l 200 for a 240hp 2.4L Bridgeport EFI.
I could never go back.
