2005 evenrude any good?

A friend of mine is looking at a used boat with a 2005 150hp evenrude on it. I have not seen the boat yet. what years should you stay away from? I had a 1998 worst thing I ever owned.

2005 should be good. The transition motors from 98-2000 had some problems but things got much better in my opinion.

Anything 02 and up should be solid. I used to work on alot of the late 90's Ficht motors. The newer ones were much improved.
