i have a 150 efi that i drag race ( yep i know i need a real motor) but for my boat and class i dont have to make drastic changes from race to river runnin i run a stock motor class with nothing but setup and reeds and computer tuning class no rev limit thats all that can be done
my ?????? is has anyone succesfully had a 150 programmed to where it will turn harder than 7500 or am i wasting my time my race box will only turn 7000 and my stock box will turn 7500 per the tack in my allison just tryin to figure out if it is worth the money to keep shippin the computer back and forth and hope it will get rite or just go with a diffrent setup or
sell the 150 and buy diffrent mota or trade the 150 and some cash for a 225 promax powerhead only
thanks for any info

Justin as much as we've talked about your motor, I just now remembered that Jason had a 150hp powerhead for a while that he ran on the river. I think all he got out of his was 7700 with carbs. maybe give him a call.

Justin, have you ever tried a Brucato ACU? I talked with Tony Brucato about the fuel curve for my 2 liter and he's got one for me to start with.

Can you use a HiPo box in the class you run or do you have to run a Laser box? If you can run a HiPo box you could get a 260 box and just lean it down some..

Rapair can change the limiter in the XRi box (which I'm assuming you have based on your signature). You have to go through a dealer, but virtually any dealer is a Rapair/CDI dealer.

ive been using rapair its just the shippin charges to one person and then to rapair and back to that person then back to me is eating me up
for it not to run better then my stock box i bought my (race box) from them just cant seem to get it rite for the motor though shawn is straight up just the shippin startin to suck at at roughly 150.00 a trip
just wonderin has anyone had one turn up any harder than 7500 on a 150 efi
thought bout sendin my box that turns 7500 but i would hate to get it back and it not run like it does now or it may turn on up

I'm referring to testing with an ACU that's adjustable for a starting point. Once "tweaked", you can "tune" your box to that curve. Aren't all the ECU's tuned based on horepower??? So a 260 box would be 73% more fuel for a 150? Ouch!!!

Yes it would be fat.. But at least you can lean the box without having to send it off several times...

What's the most it can be leaned 15%? My ACU is 15% + or -. I'm assuming my Rapair is the same, 15%?
My curiosity is will a 150 turn the rpm's with a "tuned" ECU???
If a 2.5 block "breathes" better than a 2.0/2.4 block, and my old 2.0 champ mota will turn 11,000 rpms with "old school" technology, what is a 150 (2.5 style) mota capable of turning and still make power? Understandably the champ mota is ported differently, but my 260 is ported to hell also and wont even come close to 11,000 rpm.
