just picked up my new (to me) 1997 promax 225 removed the old 1989 Bridgeport efi. Seems like a lot of stuff can go. Trim pump, fuel pump, etc. Will I still need a return line on the promax? Will my old harness plug right in?anything else I should be aware of?

No return line is used, just a regular stock fuel line with primer bulb

or keep in boat electric and hook the low pressure infeed pump direct to the line going to the high pressure off the diaphram pump on the block

i was under the impression that with an efi system there was always a return line ????
you learn something new everyday I guess:)

The Promax is a "user-friendly" high-performance motor. It uses the "Laser" style EFI system, similar to Merc's 200 EFI "fishin" motors. It has its own fuel pump/slosh tank/vapor separator loop, all under the cowl. These motors use a single fuel line with a primer bulb.
