hello,---im new here, been reading this awesome web site for acouple years now, i have a 200hp mercury 1988 that has a hole about 1/4'' from the top of #4 cylinder, can this be weided, are resleeved,if i have to have resleeved, anybody know of a machine shop in the dallas, tx area. chrome. thank you for your info, fred c.

Are you talkin' about a pin hole in the cast, Or a burn hole in the cyl.? It
sounds like the latter... cause you are tryin' to resolve your problem, rite?
Casting pin-holes are normal, and anything else will require machining
with a steel sleeve inserted.

You could not have welded the crome bore without alot of labor... so I assume it was something different!

Thank kingsbiship, resleeve it is ,looks like salt water ate thur from the water jacket side. looking for a machine shop.thanks again,fred c.
