Got my new SeaDoo today, and it's THRUSTY to say the least. SeaDoo advertises 0 to 50 in 2.9 seconds, and I believe it. Okay, so I'm old and fat and went for the 3 seater this time, but it's only 18 lbs heavier than the 2 seater and has the same motor & pump.................. 255 HP. I can remember when I got the first 65 horse one and thought it was fast :nonod: but this thing honks.

Best move your ever made was to go for the RXT-X(three seater)much better handling lossing couple mph vs. RXP-X. well worth it IMO cause while the two seater is beating himself to death in choppy conditions, your walking away Cruising Like a King........lol
H-D Clutches / H-D Valve Springs / H-D Valves................
BRP finally built it rite, this time around, I tested these skis @ the Riva Test Lake before the Miami Boat Show and they are very impressive to say the least for OTB factory units.
In the 215 SuperCharged Rotax all these componants lead to catastrophic failer
1) Clutches let go, get swallowed in the cylinder......Clunk!
2) Weak Springs.....valves float @ high rpms
3) Weak Valve Stems.........bend very easily.......Clunk!
RaceMan...........Change the intake grid..........gain 3 mph........promise........loose a bit of hole shot though.......lol....Enjoy!

I am looking to buy one of the new 15X Honda since I have 500+ hours on my 12X already. The Fuel consumption on the Honda is only 17 GPH WOT for a TRUE 200 HP. I am just waiting on a review on it after talking with several who have bought them.

I have asked this question before and never got any response.
What are the possibilitys of using one of these supercharged four strokes
in a V drive or other inboard configuration on a super light V hull such as a Allison SS/XR or a like hull? Can these motors supply the torque,if so it should be a light, quite and super effecient rocket/sleeper.Just thinkin.

Pros & Cons:
+) 3-cyl. 215-255 hp half the weight of an equivalent OB
-) Drive line-Skis are 1:1 direct/no gear box or converter the bucket on the back of the nozzle displaces the direction of the water, allowing fwd/n/rev
+) Would displace the weight horizontaly...less strain on the transom
-) Requires more space than OB
Would be interesting to say the least......

I was looking at those at the boat show sure do like them all but the plastic impeller wear ring. The water here is sandy and that wear ring is toast fast. If they had a stainless wear ring it would be the boat of my choice. I really like the new Yamaha too. But then I have had real good service from my Kawasaki 1100 so I'm thinking that too. One way or another I'm gonna stay with the 3 seater for comfort. I really like my jetski don't care what people think they are fun and safe if you use your head when riding. I have taken off on many long rides across Galveston Bay on mine and it's a blast and comfortable too. Would never think of buying a 2 seat model.

I don't know much about the jet ski brands. What can you tell me about the Kawasaki 250x, any pros and cons?

I've always had SeaDoos............. bought my first one in 1991,it was the first year of the XP, and have had 21 SeaDoos and 3 Yamaha's since. Nobody in the house rides much anymore but me, so there won't be much additional count probably unless SeaDoo comes with something faster.;)

I have ridden the Hydro Space S4 110 hp turbo charged 4 stroke Complete Carbon Fiber ski, and it's a whip!
Unfortunately for us here in the States, we will never get to enjoy the 342hp Beast because it will never pass/comply with industry guide lines etc. what a shame.

Seems like if all the dopers can get all them' drugs in here we could at least figure out how to sneak in a couple of hotrod PWC's. 'Course Al Bore and all the other enviro-nazis would probably get a lot more bent about a couple of non compliant engines than a boatload of coke.

When all else fails and the gloves are off.....purchase it in parts.......who cares if assembly is required.....hell, ya might even figure out a way to make it faster, just call it a prototype. The Tree Huggin Basturds always know how to ruin all the fun.
BTW sold an RXT-X to a repeat customer today.......the guy is 71 yr. old, has all kinds of toys, says to me I'm bored of my 215 supercharged unit gonna leave it to my son.......here's a check, prep me up a new pony I'll be back for it in the morning, drives an Escalade on 24s & saddles up 24 year old girl friend with upgraded flotation devises....that he might trade in as well........He's my Hero!...........lmao

I didn't ride em both on the same day (or the same month), but it feels MUCH quicker. I DID ride my old RXP on the same day as the new RXT-X and the difference is REAL noticeable. It feels like the 40 HP difference in the ratings is for real.

How is it compared to the previous years rxt?
We ran side by side RXP-X (255 sc) vs. RXP (215 sc), the X pulls 5-6 lenghts in front from the start and keeps pulling away.
At the other side of the markers, we switched skis to make sure it was an even comparison, and the outcome was the same.
The acceleration these skis deliver is very agressive /impressive for an out the box unit, definately not for a novice rider
Enjoy!
