Trim and Tilt help..OMCs

Hey guys will a trim and tilt unit from a 1988 140hp Rude fit on a 1988 88spl?? My unit on the 88spl is bad and found one off a 1988 140hp, just wondering if it will work. Any help??---Jeff

It should work, I put trim from a 94 88spl on a 86 90hp evinrude v4s in that year range are the same, best I can tell.
