Swapping fronts on my xr2 from vertical to horizontal and need to know where i can mount fuel pump. Pump is mounted on intake on xr2 but theres no place to mount it on this 2.4 horizontal front. Any ideas on where to mount? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 2.4 probably uses the different pump. There were 3 types of mechanical fuel pumps. If you had the square type which I believe was the later model then you'll probably need to use the Type 1 or type 2 pump. There should be a hole on the portside next to the #5 rodslot that draws pulse for the pump. Just plug that hole with some epoxy and run an electric pump instead.

Electric pumps are so much better anyway! There's no priming the line when
you start (looks much cooler) Only thing is, make sure you connect to the
kill switch so, if there is a problem... you won't be feeding fuel when kill switch
is hit!

If i am going to use an electric pump, which one and is there a certain way it has to run. What pressure? Sorry for all the question, never ran an elctric pump on an outboard before. Thanks,

U have to swap the front half when change'in from vert to horz, so the horz fuel pump iz on the front half...ther are several differnt types ov pumps on the horz front, but all bolt on the port side ov the front half......
