I would say thats pretty good considering what your setup is.

If your tach and speedometer are accurate and your gear ratio is 1.87, that puts your prop slip @ 5%, thats good, 10% and less is what you try for. One other thing is the prop for sure a 30 pitch.

hey thanks for replying soo quick. The prop is definately a 15x30 lab cleaver its off of my buddys euroski but i think my boat is too heavy would a 14x32 be better or same difference.I also have a 15x26 chopper it runs around 75-7700rpm and around 88-90mph. The 15x30 cleaver bites too much for the power to weight ratio, i cant get it to scream with out going to high on the plate or the trim and it blows out. thanks again kaynan

What gearcase are you running?

Is the motor a 2.4 200, or a Bridgeport? ("is the block painted black?")
A 200 will make peak power at 6000-6400 rpm, Bridgeport peaks at 7000+.

14 or 14.5 x 30 would probably be a good one to try. Run the little 32 anyway, if you can spin it 6200+, you'll run some good speeds. You'll likely find that it won't turn over 6K unless the air is really cool and dry...

it is a bridgeport efi with a 7800rpm limiter in it

I'm also running a Bridgeport EFI. I got my best top end with a 14.5 X 30 lab cleaver, 92.5 in the 7000-7200 rpm range (hard to watch the tach with the pucker factor). You should be able to spin a 30p no problem. Maybe too much diameter, who knows?

What gearcase and/or cone are you running?

u think 14.5x30 or 14x30 cleaver would b best i would like to stay just under the limiter. how heavy is ur boat? i know wut u mean (pucker factor lol) its hard to watch the gps, tach, and the water pressure, and the wind she get a lil bit light when its gusty. but the only time i can get ne rpm outta the 15x30cleaver is when i point it straight into the wind because i am borderline gettin enough lift with the rpm.

Post a new tech thread called
"prop suggestions for Seebold Eagle with Bridgeport?"
There's a few more out there, and I'm sure you'll get some replies from someone who knows a few good props to try. I would jump at the chance to try a 28p ET, and you should too...

Check with Drag120. He's had a Seebold as his lake boat for quite a few years now. I'm sure he's tried plenty of different powerheads........uhm, I mean props on it.:D

Ah yes, Tom can definitely offer some setup advice. He's spent many hours in his Seebold with a Bridgeport behind it.
