Was going to just mount it straight to the floor , but it wouldn't fit . So instead of getting to riggish , I opted to buy the correct part from Allison . Just hope it gets here in time . To anyone going to RR thats been thinking of getting into drag racing O/B's but thinks they can't afford it.., you need to meet Rex.
His boat is one of my favorites of all time.
He is the only guy I know thats tighter w/a buck than I am and their ain't nothin on his boat that he didn't make, modify, trade for or get for free.

He runs a little 2.0 liter on it (proof you don't need a high zoot 2.5 to have fun) and if you line up with him at 7 or 800' you will need to have your **** together to keep from gettin your ass handed to you by a Chrysler :eek:
Everytime I look at his boat I see another trick that I didn't catch last time.

For anyone interested, If Rich gets caught up, I'll have a couple of his drag cut choppers over there and you are welcome to test them. got the boat done and ready for a water test yesterday and decided to go out to markum park to test. After an hour of testing the fuel pump died, and I was stuck about a mile from the ramp. And as i'm walking my boat down the shoreline i started hearing gun shots from the firing range that is in the same park. Well 5 min later I hear a wisiling sound of a bullet coming at me so I hit the dirt and I saw it land 5 feet from me.

I left the boat and ran back toward my truck and drove over to the range to find swat an police shooting metal targets and of course the bullets are going to ricochet. I bitched and the jerk told me that it was not possible. I have spoken to a few other people that have had the same thing happen to them in the west canal at markum park.

Anyway the boat is ready to go, big thanks to Diamond Marine for all there help.

D. It has no air conditioning :eek:

F. It has a 13 gallon fuel tank :eek:
G. He had to stop for gas every 140 miles :eek:
H. This is the bigg un....his wife is with him :eek:

When you see him at the ranch make sure and introduce yourself, tell him you appreciate what he went through to get here, shake his hand and say thanks.
