I just purchased a older aluminum boat that had a Plywood floor added and the floor needs replacing, Is it safe to put treated wood in the floor on top of the aluminum stringers, or should I use regular plywood and try to seal it? I am concerned about the treated wood reacting against the aluminum....???Thanks SnF....

I dont think you will have any problem with any treated wood, fur wood is recomended for transom repair

Best bet would be to use ordinary plywood and treat it yourself with Rot Doctor's CPES. Nothing friendly about it. Use it outdoors, or extinguish all fires and sparks and use an organic vapor mask.
It ain't cheap, but it's a real solution to the problem.

Or you could opt for a non-wood alternatve such as Starboard or composite decking.

Yesterday I sent the DR ROT folks a multi page e-mail detailing a transom recovery project on a budget I'm planning, and asking for advice. In about an hour they replied with very detailed and helpful advice and suggestions, eliminating some of the planned work and speeding up other steps.
I am impressed.
