3.0L Merc - Cutting the Can

I know this has been posted a thousand times - but do you think i can find it!!???!!. :mad:

I'm after the pictures or any other info on tuner cutting or midsection mods on a 3.0L merc.:nonod:

Don't cut tuner. Here's a pic from Simon Motorpsorts website showing where to cut the exhaust can.

Is it worth drilling holes in the mid.Or is that old school 2.5 stuff!!

It matters what year. The early ones have a tube thats straight. The other is pixed. I would think ya can cut the straight one where ya want. The newer ones I have drilled at the bottom to let it talk. I don't recall how as it was a year ago or more and I have gotten rotten wit wisskee a few times sence. HeeHee.:p

If I can think back...... was looking up the exhast ... W/out the lower on was drill inside the back housing. Think and Drink. It works every time.:cheers:

Ok - i have heard that some have done that.

SO you drilled a hole in the trailing side of the can - how big, and is there any need to do anything to the exhaust reliefs on the mid.

Keep drinking.......... the information may drop out!

stangely it has the opposite effect on me.....
