Im currently running a bravo 1 22" pitch on my profile 26v, and it runs great. Good hole shot, bow lift, etc. The best I've seen on the gps was 61.5 turning 5,800 with a full load of fuel (90 gallons). The enigine is a 2006 Merc 250Xs opti and 5,800 is balls out. I tried running a 26" pitch tempest plus yesterday, but it was just a little to much prop. The boat ran 63.4, but it was trimmed to the moon to get the rpm. All I coud get was 5,450 and the boat porpoised and chine walked a lot. Should I try a 24" pitch tempest?? Or maybe even a 23". Do you guys think the 24" will be the magic number? or should I leave well enough alone, and stick to the bravo. Love to see 65 mph. Any suggestions guys????:D

no try a 25 trophy, the extra blade area will help.

In my opinion, stick with the Bravo I. Your running a lot of boat on a single motor. You'll have a better cruise speed and better over all driveability with the four blade.

If you are hitting the limiter with the 22", try a Bravo I 24" that has been balanced and blue printed. You should pick up a few mph.

Thanks powerplay25. Honestly, I have to try pretty hard to hit the rev limiter with the 22" incher. I still have to trim pretty high, but all around it really does good. At 4,800 rpm with guys over 200 pounds and 90 gallons of fuel, we ran 51 mph, and were getting 2.9 mpg on the smartcraft! Overall, I cant really complain with numbers like that, but I would still like to have a prop that I can run with just me in the boat with a light load, and hit the upper 60's. It may never happen, but hell I've only tried two props, so who knows. I hate to just leave well enough alone.
