gray rectifier wires question.

with dual rectifiers, each one has a gray wire coming out of it. i know the starboard side hooks up to the harness. the port side???? i dont remember if it hooks to any thing. any help out there? thanks, curt

You only need one wire hooked up. They are the tach wires and there is no need to worry about the other. If you ever have tach problems it is easy to trouble shoot by hooking up the other gray wire to see if the rectifier is bad.

Like Greg says, the extra wire is a spare.:D

Actually, the same rectifier/regulator is used on 16, and 40 amp dual systems. The extra tachometer tap is no big deal, not worth 2 part numbers.
