Couple questions on 78 Black Max

1: I pulled the trim pump off my project last night, and the motor is shot. Mine is a 78 175, what units will work with this motor? Will most any of the Mercury trim units work ok with it?

2: There is water coming out some piece on the side of the motor (same side as powerpacks) that I need to know what it is for. Since it is up inside the cowling, I know it shouldn't just run out. Here is a link to the picture, the water comes out of a small hole right by where I put the yellow dot.

The trim U should have iz basically the same az the newer Hi po units, with the pump in the boat...All the older 2.0 and 2.4, and newer Hipo trims are the same (basically)

Sounds like U have a hole in ya poppet valve diaphram....juss remove the cover, and replace the diaphram!!
