Dual Ride Guide Steering

Hello all,

The Dual Ride Guide steering on my 1985 Charger DL is extremely stiff and I was looking to replace the cables. Merc Marine has "end of lifed" the cables. Does anyone know of a source that still has these cables available? I'd prefer not to replace the entire steering system.

Welcome to the board. There's 2 ways to go, you may want to try lubing the cables first

Or, there have been quite a few on Ebay, trick is to find the right length. A friend of mine needed some last year, I just got on the phone and started called dealers, there are still many on the shelf out there.

You need to go to a merc dealer and if they dont have what you need then ask them if they will do a dealer search for the cable that you need. Ride Guide cables should have the part # and length on the cable, make sure you get the length that you need.
