I just converted a carburated 200 2.5 to fuel injection. I am useing a Burcato acu with stock efi system. Ran the boat this weekend and it was super rich wouldonly turn 5200 rpms usually turns 6200. Called Tony, he said to check my Rectifier.
How do you test a rectifier for proper operation?

Diode check on a meter is not required....... any ohm meter will work.
As for the problem..... Brucato is having you check the rectifier because the staor puts out AC voltage, the rectifier changes that to DC voltage. A bad rectifer cane either send AC voltage into the DC circuit wreaking havoc in the computer or cause a lack of charging and causing a low voltage to the computer.
Checking a rectifier is simple once you understand it.
