I've asked this question on several other boards with looks but no replies. So I'm hoping some one on here can help me out.
I pulled my fuel injectors and sent them off to Brucato for cleaning and noticed that the throtle body casting on the three open areas (the ones without the butterflies) have a rough texure and a casting ring towards the bottom.
Would it be advantagous to clean that casting up and polish it? That casting ring is not there for a reason is it?
TIA,
Westy

Hey Westy and welcome ta tha site. Ya takin' good care of tha possible sleeper?
I've done that. Didn't see any change with just that. Now if ya do that and get rid of tha vapor canister ya can see a little difference..........T

TLW,
Thanks for letting me know i would be wasting my time polishing the throtle plate. I took it to the "stealer" and they wanted $400.00 bucks just for a o-ring kit on the fuel injectors plus many hours in labor so I told them to forget it and they gave it back to me in a box, nice guys huh!
I've ordered the parts and will have the mota running again soon for less then they wanted just for the o-rings.
You still interested in my "sleeper"? I'd sell it with or without power but I would want to selll the mota first so it could be checked out running on the boat. I'm thinking $4000.00 with the mota. I'd ask $1500.00 for just the mota leaving the boat and trailer at $2500.00. Let me know if your still interested and I'll email you pics.

Yeah, I understand and welcome ta tha father-in-law club. I think its true what they say, "daughters are more expensive after tha marriage" unless ya keep a boot in tha new guys butt ...................T

Yep, know all 'bout only daughter and crocodile tears. Other than tha "I" word, tha service may not be such a bad thing tha way this country's goin' ta shiit.
Yeah, XB2003. Tha only allison I have ever regreted sellin'. Best "do 'bout anything" boat there is in my opinon. That one is for sale down in Austin right now. My wife has her hands full keepin' me from going down there. :leaving:
Later.............T
