can i run plain black rubber fuel rated hose at 39psi? or do i have to run a high psi line with compression fittings on the ends? i have a mid 80's 2.4 hp efi. i am looking at the universal bosch pumps.

Most auto parts stores have efi fuel line, you can use hose clamps on barbed fittings like any fuel line. Your 5/16 return line from the injector rail back to your tank can be regular fuel line not high psi efi. As Jay stated, the efi hose is a little pricey.

IMO 3/8ths ID for the supply line out of FI hose and 5/16th ID for the return from non FI fuel line as Lee said.

Good luck,

napa wants 6.50 /ft for theirs. its only rated for 50 psi. i found some at jegs that is rated for 200 psi. its only 4.00 /ft. its jegs own brand. its the 200 series braided black hose.

is 3/8" equal in size to 6 AN?

yeah its about 3/8 little larger if anything.. i used it for thermostat hose and it fit on those fittings and those are 3/8.. i would use a good clamp with it or the fitings that go with it for fuel use..

the fuel pump i purchased only has 5/16 outlet on it. its an inline msd brand. will this be to small? if i bump the line up to 3/8 the rated psi will drop right?
