Looking for setback advice for a xb2002 2.5 260HP 15" offshore mid with a Bobs coned CLE. I have a 12" Allison plate,and a 5.5" CMC plate. I was thinking the 5.5" CMC with a 2" spacer from Bobs.

you are thinking right. I tried my new one at 10" and out of the hole it was all over, went to 8" and handles great at all speeds, didn't lose any top end BUT I am running empty I've been told by al,ost everyone 10" is the magic setback but I think that has to be for an 02 that has a lot of weight in it. Thank you for the help.I will be fishing with an average amount of junk in the boat,but I did install quick release mounts for the trolling motor to help keep the weight removable.
