He oughta' have that T3/1750XS cowl that's on that Offshore motor on the stand next to the stacker on the tunnel boat since the stickers on that tunnel are wrong............... which brings up another point. I sure wish you'd do up the correct stickers for the old T3 race cowl.;)
Those old Molinari's with the dropped rear canopy were the best lookin' of ALL of the old race tunnels IMO.

How about someone do up the T3 cowl decals with the giant T3 on the side? I'd almost settle for some good pics of one right now.
That is one awesome collection, I agree with RM on swappin the cowls out.
He said that the boat was originally was a flat nose.
But after a blow over he desided to pickle it out and replaced the cowel with the newer style.
Looks liike he did a great job and a cool paint job.

I was wondering about that because of the profile of it. I had an old Seabold back in late 70's/early 80's that was done that way. I'm not sure whether the first pickle forked ones were S-decked like the Molinari pictured here, but my Seabold was flat nosed too, and when it was converted it was changed to an S deck in front also just like the one in the picture. My boat was originally closed deck on front and 15" transom and run with a T2 when new. After the conversion the transom was cut down 5 inches also, and it was converted to a T2X, and when I got it, (my partner actually) it was run with a Mod 2.4 powerhead on a T3 mid with SuperSpeedmaster. The day after I got out of the hospital after 10 day stay from the Allison blowover, my partner helped me get a Gentex jacket on over my cast and shoulder strap/bandages, etc and I aired it out down the lake. I was afraid if I didn't go ahead and run something hard I'd never get back in one again. I ended up buying the boat several months later without power, but never ran it again, and finally sold it to someone who put a transom plate on it and ran a 1500XS (against my advice). It wasn't enough engine for the boat, which was designed to run faster and it was sold shortly and left here, and I never heard from it again. It looked identical to the boat in the picture except for the front and rear canopies, and I did a double take when I first saw it, wondering if it was my old boat.

Dale,
Is this the same guy who had the 1500XS for sale (I think?) a while back and we could see a T2X Cowl and a 700x in the background? If so, can we get some pics of the 700x?
Awesome, awesome collection!
Thanks,
Steve.

I think that was Gohr. I remember the 700X and T2X in the background. Wasn't the engine for sale a 1250 Super BP?

dale ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u gotta get this guy on board with us !!!!!!!!!!!!, i cant even sleep after seeing those pics !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Parker
Im working on him.
Heres some older pictures he sent and i scanned.
The CT15 he said he flipped so bad there was nothing to put back together the motor was hanging on by the steering cable.!!!!!
Is i said my CT has the dash cut out and the steering moved forward.
I asked Jim Hunt about that he said that when they were stock your legs were under the dash with your feet in the sponsons.
If you blew over it would almost always hurt or brake your legs.
Travis said when he flipped this one his got his legs cut up pretty bad.
I was wishing mine was more stock untill it blew onver last year.
It just shot me me out with just some sore ribs.
I guess it works.
The other picture is of his Molinari dont know if it is the one he pickeled out.
The other is the same motors just a good shot of the ones im going to bring home when i visit him. (I just need ten minutes of distration )

The Molinari is a Glastron Molinari it,s not the wooden boat I have now.I put the cowlings back where they belong on the T3 engine. The Glastron I blew over in the late 70,s and gave it away to a guy in Richmond texas. I wish I still had it now I would put the stacker back on it.The nose was dammaged and the cowlings were destroyed. Travis

Welcome Travis,
It's strange sometimes how wishes can come true. I have your Glastron Molinari. It REALLY needs to be restored, and run the the APBA Vintage OPC Events, with your stacker!! You can reach me at the email address below. Hope that we hear more from you!!

Dear Members- Travis is alive & well, in Texas. His latest project is a Magnum Missle, to put his 1969 1250 Mercury Stacker on! I'm hoping he will at OFF 2011 & possibly bring one of his Vintage OPC boats to Cadillac's to get wet & put on a show. Travis is also the guy who built the models of Bill Sirois' 1970 (dual Stacker) & 1971 (Dual Twister) Molinari, that won the Lake Havasu Outboard World Championships!

Travis etal, I really hope you will consider coming to Clayton this year (August 16 - 19). I'm trying to get as many of the larger outboards (APBA Vintage & Historic just defined the larger OPC & other style outboards as GROUP B) to run and display at Clayton this year. We had three Molinari's and a Switzer Wing running two years ago, and we are working on having 6+ Molinari's + a Velden and 2-3 Wings this year. Ted Boyd will have his "new" Wing there and his Glaston Molinari. If anyone wants some help or details pertaining to this of other vintage events please give me a yell. Planning on being at CRA's Spring Fling at Tavares FL (3/16-18) with the O'Berry Marine Molinari / Johnson RS along with Steve Larkin's Velden / Super Strangler. Come on over!!! Roger

i will be there with a surprise boat. hopefully, no telling how long a 4 month resto will actually take. is cross lake running this year?
Travis sent me some pics of his Magnum missle he has up and running.
Looks like he did a great job as usual.
He is going to pull the v6 and mount an inline.
Not sure but I think he is going to use the stacker.
Maybe we can get him up to Clayton this year ( He is retired whats the problem )
That two seater he could get his gas money back selling rides
Rides 10.00 ear plugs 25.00
Dale
Travis also sent me some pics of his other hobby.
The boats he doesn't have he make awesome models of.
