inlet nipple not pluged on VRO pump????

Upon inspection of the motor that the #6 rod bearing siezed on I noticed that there was not a cap pluging off the oil intake side of the VRO pump. could this have caused the size? :confused: 2.7 looper

No, if it were the fitting in the block it would have caused an air leak but if you are still using the fuel side that would not have caused a rod problem

Actually, it will introduce air into the fuel and cause the motor to run lean, but agai, you would see piston damage before rod seizure from running lean. Got a good picture of the seized rod?
