if memory is correct the pad is round on that boat[ its what they called a ivverted v, dont ask why]. as such the 200 would put the boat into uncontrolable chime walk at something over 60. check the whole hull for lite spot where the chopper layer is thin. in brite sun look thru the bare hull for lite areas.

Gas tank in the bow can be a bad idea for riggin' a light/fast high perf boat also. Problem is, weight distribution is constantly changing from full tank to empty and everything in between.

theres a guy on here that put a pad on a bayliner...i forget his handle..he had a nice post about it with all the steps he took to get the pad on it and the performance gains afterward. its listed in the fiberglass section here on S&F. ill see if i can find it and post it here for ya.

put a 150 on it and keep the speed under 55 maybe 60. yes keep the tank in the back.

I'm pretty sure I can see the light shining through from up here in Canada. I use t sell Bayliner boats and the last thing I would ever want to do it be sitting in one going over 55 mph. I'd be afraid to fart because it might split the hull. Never been impressed with anything I've seen from Bayliner, especially back then.

I just bought this same boat about 2 months ago. It was two owners and garage kept. The entire package was original. It has a 125 hp Force motor and it runs sweeet.
The hull plate says 4 persons 600lbs max or 1200 lbs persons and carry on gear. Max engine size 150hp
