I had that problem a few years ago and if it's the cable I put P.B. BLASTER penetrating oil on it and let it soak for a day and then worked it out if ur's is like mine was you might have to snatch on the wheel a few times to get it to move. It's kinda like something else the slipperier it is the better it will work LOL.

Do a search on here. Someone had a diagram to built a cable luber. I built one and it works great. It uses oil and air pressure.

I had a cable on a dual rack (old style) split. Changed it out to NFB. The other cable is still good, if you need it. 18 ' bass bote.
If you need it, get me the number off'n yer old cable (near the motor end.) I'll dig mine out and see if it's a match.
I found that the rear cable had a pretty severe bend in it because of the jack plate. I put another hole in the motor well for the new rear cable to relieve that strain. Steers great.
hope it helps

I bid a dual steering system on sleazebay last week from 10 bucks to over 140, thought I had it then someone jumped in at the last minute and jumped the bid to 190. Oh well. Anybody have an inexpensive dual settup for sale? About 14ft. cables. Its still 32 degrees around here. Ill take the cable out when I get some time and it warms up. Also I dont think these pos teleflex cables come apart, do they? Thankx for the replies.
