Removal of oil injection.

I have a 97 200efi Merc that I want to remove the oil injection. Is this something simple I can figure out how to do(with help from you all) or does it take a certified shade tree mechanic and lots of $ to do?

Wow Thanks King. Thats so simple I think even a dummy like me can do it. You said to cut the wire to the alarm. Will it be on the pump?

It's a sensor monitoring the rotation of the shaft. You'll see it on top of the
oil injector. I don't remember if you just unplug, or have to short it to stop
the alarm from goin' off. I sure someone will have that info here!
