Hoping for some help on fuel consumption figures for the Merc XS300.

I'm going to be racing in the Round Britain race on a boat with a pair of the above. We have some approx figures - but would be great if anyone has anything more accurate.

Ideally consumption at full rpm, and maybe 5000 & 4000 rpm.

Got some fairly long legs in offshore water and would be good to get the fuelling as correct as possible.

Thanks
Adam

How does the 300XS compare to a 2001 300X (Actually the one that you once owned!)

Adam,

On our 21 cat they get 5.5 mpg at 70 mph.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Jeff
Thanks for that - what rpm would that be at?

Will be in touch regarding other things - just been a bit busy lately, but all is still progressing!

Cheers
Adam

Adam,

That's at 4000 rpm.

No rush on the project. We are finishing up the new 26 VooDoo, so we have been busy as well. Keep in touch and let us know when you are ready.

Wot is anywhere from 25-26 gph

4000 rpm is about 9-11 gph
5000 rpm is about 16-18 gph
