How do I hook a Mercury control to a Yamaha motor?

I was gonna use a 33c cable with Merc adapters on one end, and Yamaha adapters on the other. Now I can't find Yamaha adapters for the motor end of the cables. Who knows where to get them?

The throttle works backwards. It pushes to open on a Yamaha. Depending on which control box it is the linkage may be able to be reversed.

Berg, is that an adapter that will fit on the 33c cable?

Pat, this control will push or pull. The only thing I need, is a way to hook a 33c cable to the motor.

A yamaha dealer should be able to get you what you need. Yamaha cables use the same threads as the 33c. There are several dealers in your area. I got there numbers if you need them.
