Just wondering if there's any data, i.e.- cfm or any actual numbers showing how much better the 4 petals flow vs. the 5 petals, stock cage for stock cage. Looking at pictures, it appears as tho the 4's would flow a lot better than the 5's, but wondering if there's any concrete #'s or even any actual comparisons between the 2, all else being the same. Putting an SVS and ACU on my '95 2.5L 200 XRi and eventually the block will see some porting, but since I'm only the intake manifold bolts away from doing reeds (which I'm gonna do anyway as it still has stock steelies), wondering if it's worth going to the 4 petals since I'm there. Either way it'll have Tony Doukas reeds in it. Anyway, thanks for the help,
Brian

Well, I don't have any numbers any more, thanks to a thunderstorm take'in out my puter, and sum lazy ole fart not back'in up hiz info!!:( ....
I did flow 4 peddle and several versions ov 5 peddle cages(without reeds) on a flow bench...In a nut shell, the 4 peddle flowed more than the STOCK 5 peddles...basically the same az a modified(cut to HP specs)5 peddles, and a tad better than chrysler stock cages...
With reeds(tested with boysen 2 stage, and TDR single stage) reverse flow, the 4 peddle cages seel'd better than the stock or lapp'd 5 peddle cages...TDR reeds seel'd better than boysens at lower air pressure...
Top end flow(can't reech flow a v-6 mota does over 6K) the 4 peddles out flow the stock 5 peddles...BUT, the addition ov the 4 peddles WON'T guarantee a gain in top end numbers, kuz even with the CAPIBILITY ov flow'in more air, yo mota may not be able to take advantage ov this capibility!!!...Idle will improve(if all else is good) and Bottom/mid should improve because ov add'd seel(TDR reeds help heer also)...
With smoke, the 4 peddle cages disrupt air flow less than modd'd 5 peddles, and way less tha stockies....Now, Modified 4 peddles perform better than stock, but U loose the bottom seel because ov the removal ov the rubber....
Bottom line(in my unprofessional opinion) the 4 peddles will be the better ov the cages on the river, or lake race'in...modified 4 peddle cages will be better for a 9K+ mota....
