Blingmaster swamp run 2008. Mid April?

Lots of people have been saying they really liked the Blingmaster Run we had last year on the Southern St. Johns. I think someone counted 119 boats parked on the shore. Well I thing it's time again! Lots of sandy shores and no speed limits or cops. Hotel would be the same one on Lake Monroe. Holiday Inn I think? So who want to recomend a weekend in April? GATORS here we come!

That sounds good for me as long as it doesn't hit my two Summer vacations, 2nd-3rd week of June and week after July 4th. I wish we could get 93 fuel South of Lake Monroe. I have heard some of my PWC friends have bought 93 from the airboat companies further South.

How about we just make it a one day run! If there's only 10 or 20 of us, that will still be lots of fun. We can all meet in Lake Monroe at the mouth of the river at the south end at Noon. How about some votes on Sat the 19th or Sat. the 26th. That way, guys from the Jupiter Rally can go too.

Sounds like a good deal but a one day event means 6 - 8 hours of driving round trip and that won't work . You have got to have a party night to break it up a little if non locals are going to show . But with that said ,more power to those who can make it for a day , thats great . I like that area a lot but some more respect has to be given to others on that river run , meaning those that are just fishing and hanging out . The last run was a ballistic mess !

We may have a lady bringing a hot dog-hamburger-snack boat too. Some guys are going to thr motel Friday. The plan is for everyone to meet at the south end of the lake by the mouth of the river at noon and run south to the hang-out area. Whoever knows the way can go sooner, but I can lead the way at noon. This way guys driving further or putting in at different ramps, will have plenty of time to get there.

Where is the Sandbar in relationship to the ramp and the hotel ?

It's not a sandbar. The whole shoreline of the river can be pulled up on. If you head south on the river, it's about 15 miles to Lake Harney. We park on the left about 1/2 mile before the lake. The first nfew miles after you come out of the lake is kinda confusing and easy to make the wrong turn. Anyone wanting to follow me, I'll be at the mouth of the river at the south end of Lake Monroe at 12:00 sharp! We will head south from there.

Randy, I think once you get to Lemon Bluff following the river should be easy and anyone should get to where we are going to be. Just the first couple of turns from the lake can be tricky. I know the way past the couple of slow zones if yer not scared LOL. But your right 12 noon gives everyone time to get there and meet up.

Here are some directions to where everyone will meet at noon Sat. You can also go to Google Earth or Yahoo Maps and see the route along the river to Lake Karney with everyone ending up about 1/2 mile from Lake Karney like Randy said. Hope this helps.
