this is what i took out of the housing, no reverse gear. how come.

Is it a fixed in gear box, I had a lefty on my boat where the box was locked in forward drive.

no it has a shifter. cam ,etc.

I might be wrong but that could be reverse gear for a righty. Easy way ta make a lefty. If a gear is missin', more than likely thats whats been done. Some guys do that on milti motor boats cause they only need one ta back up anyway. Maybe someone that knows gears better than me can jump in here and tell for sure.................T
