To All Good Folks On Scream & Fly. Whatever You Do Dont Ever Buy Anything From Dell.
My Wife And I Purchased A Big Screen Television From Dell. The Televsion Was 1603.00. At The Time It Was Billed They accidently Billed My Wifes Card Twice. Well We Contacted Dell The Following Week And They Said Hey Would Refund The The Money Back To Her Account. This All Was Done On 1-17-08 And As Of Today We Still Havent Recieved Our Money. When The Tv Arrived The Picture Quality Was Terrible So We Sent It Back. Well We're Sitting Here With 3200.00 Worth Of Charges And Nothing To Show For It. We Have Contacted Them On Numerous Accasions And They Kept Telling Us They Would Take Care Of It. Finally We Recieved A Credit Today For Half The Amount But It Was Our Credit Card Company (american Express) We Used To Purchase The Tv. American Express Is Also In The Process Of Getting The Rest Of Our Money.
Dell Has Done Nothing But Lied To Us On More Than One Occasion And From What The American Express Representative Told Us, This Is A All To Frequent Occurance For Them.
Guys Be Real Careful With These Guys.

In these situations, call the CC company first, then call the vendor. I never trust anyone I buy from.... once you trust them, they have that oppurtunity to screw you.

If you call your Credit Card company first, they investigate it for you and they usually get the credit for you.
Good luck!

I bought 2 computers from them at x-mas time. 6 business days for delivery, 7 business days passed for x-mas-new years time. Hooked them up. 1 crashes 7 days later. 2 more days screwing with it. Called Dell. 4 days on phone with them, they said it was a software problem. 4 days with microsoft, said it was a hardware problem. Called Dell. Said warranty expiresis 30 days from purchase. INCLUDING weekend days. Took it to repair shop. $300.00. 1 year later, broke again, put in closet. Dell calls, wants to sell me new computer. I use dirty words to person on phone.

My 8200 has been running for 6 or 7 years. I had to replace the hard drive. And the video driver went out after its 3 year warranty was out, and they fixed it for free, shipping and all.
I have had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more problems with Microsoft's OS than anything.

Internet Explorer 7 has been a major pain for me. Gave up & went Firefox. Just updated to the latest Yahoo. Previous version was a pain as well. Running well now!!

Hey guys just wanted to update you on my progress of getting my money back from dell. As of today Dell has made no attempt to contact us or made any attempt to return our money. We finally recieved our 2nd credit from the CC company not DELL!! Apparently they had no intentions in giving our money back to us. I think they knew that the credit card company wast goin to pay-off so they blew us off!! Stay away from these folks!! I have definately learned a lesson!!
