................. what would a complete/fresh/ready to run T4 bring in today's market? Just like all collectibles, I guess they're only worth whatever 2 people are willing to pay.

Would it take an E Bay auction to trigger the interest, OR would just some scattered internet listings like Scream and Fly and AOMCI do it as well? I'm not for sure that I want to sell one of mine, but I don't know what I'll ever do with 3 of em.

Raceman,
While S & F and the other ones may be a good way of getting the word out, the largest return would be on Ebay...simply because of the format...and the exposure of it. Just my thoughts.
Your T4's??? Well, Brian Pitt has an interesting project...taylor-made for them. Might want to contact him.
What are they worth??? Again,...my opinion, but a BUNCH,.. fit's nicely!

It is about THAT motor. If you go back and look at the thread about it in the E Bay and Other Internet Auctions forum in bottom of Buy & Sell Marketplace, Gohr listed the purchase price and purchaser, who's a member here also.;)

I have actually thought about selling it halfheartedly in the last year, but can't make up my mind. It really needs to be taken down and done, and with all the cars I've got scattered I can't see creating another project at this point. All I can say is, it'd be expen$ive.

I'm so glad a OPC guy got it. I emailed about it and was told it went east and was being rebuilt. Would love to work on that project.

Whenever a thread comes up about really nice collectable stuff like this I always think of the Boynton Beach wing. Now that Ted has passed away, wonder what the status is on it? Seems like someone would jump on it now.

Markets come and go. Boats have been undersold,,,,, but now things are getting spooky. But it's still a good place to put $$$ if ya got some. Most folks follow NASCAR and buy little sheees thingys. Try buying the real deal. You can in boatworld. Parker boat.;) BP motor.;) Ya notice things are getting thin on E Bay? WHY:confused:

Seems like a fair deal for both guys. Nice to see someone get it that really enjoys the history that motor represents. Well done guys. Smitty

I also wonder what will or did happen to that Wing and all the other stuff Ted had. THAT would be garage/warehouse i would like to stumble into one day. Later, Dave

I had talked with him over a year ago when he moved out of his shop. At that time he had downsized dramtically and stuffed it all in a few storage areas. I had no idea he was sick and in retrospect wonder if that is why he closed his business.

There is an article in the AOMCI newsletter this month...Ted's stuff is gonna be offered to the FL Chapter members...but it did not say how.

Mark75H

One of Ted's closest friends in the AOMCI is arranging it. He is inventorying the whole lot and assigning yard sale/tag sale prices to each item and guys who have been club members for years will get first crack at it in a private meet - this is in accordance with Ted's wishes.

Unless you had your heart set on a 1932 Caille racer or a parts motor for a 1929 Johnson KR, you probably won't feel bad about what gets sold at that meet.

After the AOMCI guys go thru it and pick out what they want, there will be an open sale of the rest at a later date ... I'm sure very little of what interests Screamandflyers will sell at the first event.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Looks like finally the Wing will be seriously for sale. I guess we will soon see what it will bring.

What ever happened to the wing that someone put 2 v6's on? Some the guys were concerned with the age of the fiberglass. I sure hoped to see a video of it running. Anyone remember that? Thanks. Smitty.
