BassCat 1500

Ok... I'll get flamed for this probably however...

I got a 1979 BassCat 1500 with 71 1150 for the price of four tires and rims. This is a 15' shallow V-hull with trim tabs on the back. The transom appears to have setback built into it.

Does anyone know anything about these boats? I've posted on the BassCat forums with no luck. Trying to find out if this is a cored hull, etc. so I can have an idea what to expect when I tear into it.

The hull is rated for 100hp which seems pretty big for a 15' boat. The 1150 will probably push this boat as fast as I care to go.

Anyone have any info on this old bass boat?

Just contact them and ask, I would bet there was some sort of coring in it. Don't short change yourself, that 15ft'r needs a small v6.

Move this over to the fiberglassing section and you will get all the help you need.
