200 merc wants to go hard.....

Hey all. Have a 2.5L 200 merc EFI. Want it to go as hard as I can but the class restricts me being a stock class (well without being caught)...All you 2.5L experts out there, I need your help and info as what I can do to make me faster. I currently run a lightweight boat so there is no problem as far as the hull goes. Any info as far as oil, the way the engine breaths....anything will be much appriciated. Thanks to all................

If the rules say stock, your stuck with that. Probably best to spend your time with props and set-up. Also make sure your leak down stays under 5%.

Sand the wetted surface of the bottom of your boat

and square the pad edge along with the sanding.
